Amazon announced at CES today that its next-gen Alexa+ assistant is coming soon to more devices, including Samsung smart TVs and select BMW cars. The company is also working to integrate Alexa+ into smart home and wearable devices, starting with a Bosch coffee machine.

The current version of Alexa is already integrated in most smart TVs on the market, but Samsung will be the first third-party manufacturer to bring Alexa+ to some of its smart TVs. The integration will go live later this month on select Samsung TVs with Alexa built-in released between 2021 and 2025. However, the assistant will only be available for Alexa+ Early Access customers.

Amazon has also partnered with BMW to integrate Alexa+ capabilities into the company’s new iX3 electric SUV. The new BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant will use Amazon’s Alexa Custom Assistant (ACA) behind the scenes to provide the same conversational experience as Alexa+. Agentic capabilities will also let car owners control vehicle functions, GPS navigation, and music playback using natural language.

Alexa+ is also coming to smart home appliances such as the Bosch 800 Series of coffee machines. “Customers will be able to have a natural conversation with Alexa to make and personalize their favorite coffee, lattes, cortados, and more,” Amazon said about the integration.

Lastly, Amazon is working to integrate Alexa+ with wearable devices. The assistant will soon be able to help users manage their health using sleep, activity, stress, and heart rate data from Oura rings. The company said that integrations with Withings, Wyze, and other wearable devices are already in the works.
