HP Announces New HyperX and OMEN Gaming Hardware

At CES 2026, HP announced that it is uniting HyperX and OMEN under the HyperX gaming brand along with new PCs and peripherals.

“Gamers deserve a seamless experience that matches their passion, from the systems that power their worlds to the gear that connects them,” HP senior vice president Josephine Tan said. “As we bring OMEN and HyperX together, we’re continuing to push the boundaries of gaming innovation, delivering performance, personalization and experiences that help every player reach their full potential.”

Here’s what’s new.

HyperX OMEN MAX 16. This 16-inch gaming laptop features Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors and next-gen AMD Ryzen AI processors, up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics, a redesigned OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro system with a third fan, a high polling rate keyboard, and up to a 240Hz1 WQXGA OLED display with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 500-nits of brightness. It delivers up to 300 watts of total power, and uses OMEN AI to optimize frame rates.

HyperX OMEN OLED 34. This gaming display is powered by next-generation V-stripe QD-OLED panel technology, offers a 21:9 WQHD QD-OLED panel with a 360 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response times. It also features HyperX ProLuma for professional-grade color precision, 100-watt USB-C power delivery, and a built-in KVM switch.

HyperX Clutch Tachi. HP’s first Xbox licensed arcade controller provides magnetic Switches with TMR sensors, NGENUITY-based button mapping, rapid trigger, and actuation configuration, and aftermarket mod support for those who wish to 3D print buttons or unique artwork for the top plate.

All three devices are expected this spring with pricing to be determined.
