Spotify Reveals its Most Streamed Music, Podcasts, and Audiobooks of All Time

Spotify is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and on this occasion, the company is revealing the most-streamed artists, albums, songs, podcasts, and audiobooks on the platform to date. As part of its 20th anniversary celebration, the company also plans to share interesting facts about its history, starting with how its visual design evolved over the years.

“For the first time, we’re unveiling the most streamed artists, albums, songs, podcasts, and audiobooks in our history. Drawn from years of listening across hundreds of millions of fans, these lists capture the music and stories that didn’t just break through but stayed, becoming part of everyday life around the world,” the company said today.

With over 5.3 billion streams as of this writing, “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd is the most-streamed song of all time on Spotify, followed by “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran (over 4.8 billion streams) and “Sweater Weather” by The Neighbourhood (over 4.5 billion streams). Taylor Swift is the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify, followed by Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande. However, Swift only has 2 albums among the top 20 most-streamed albums on the platform, Lover (#8) and Midnights (#18). In comparison, The Weekend has 3 albums in the list with Starboy (#2), After Hours (#5), and Beauty Behind the Madness (#20).

The list of most-streamed podcasts of all time on Spotify starts with The Joe Rogan Experience, followed by the German podcast 1 Gemischtes Hack and the popular true crime podcast Crime Junkie. As for the most-streamed audiobooks of all time, A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas tops the list, and it’s followed by The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien and Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros.
