Microprocessor maker AMD reports that it earned a net income of $1.4 billion on revenues of $10.3 billion in the quarter ending March 28, 2026. Those figures represent gains of 95 percent and 38 percent, respectively, year-over-year (YOY).

“We delivered an outstanding first quarter, driven by accelerating demand for AI infrastructure, with Data Center now the primary driver of our revenue and earnings growth,” AMD chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su said. “We are seeing strong momentum as inferencing and agentic AI drive increasing demand for high-performance CPUs and accelerators. Looking ahead, we expect server growth to accelerate meaningfully as we scale supply to meet demand.”

As noted, AMD’s Data Center business was its biggest in the quarter, with revenues of $5.8 billion, up 57 percent YOY. Client and Gaming saw revenue growth of 23 percent YOY, to $3.6 billion. And the Embedded business contributed another $873 million in revenues, up 11 percent YOY.

For the current quarter, AMD expects revenues of about $11.2 billion, which would put growth at about 46 percent YOY, and well ahead of analyst projections.
