Mac – Paint and general whining

I’m using a Mac now because it’s my newest hardware. I use “Paint X” for simple edits like cropping images, adding boxes and arrows, but the app hasn’t been updated in six years. Since it runs on Rosetta, its days are numbered. I’ve yet to find a modern, lightweight alternative that matches the simplicity of MS Paint. I know I can make edits using the built in Preview app but I have to watch a youtube video each time to remember the steps to edit. I don’t find Preview intuitive.

I’ve been using Finder for years but I’ve never liked it. I like Explorer for Windows and wish someone would port Linux’s Gnome Nautilus to macOS. I can’t be the only person that doesn’t like Finder.
