Airbnb Now Offers Car Rentals, Luggage Storage, Grocery Delivery, More

Airbnb Grocery Delivery

Airbnb is continuing to expand its services offering with the addition of car rentals, grocery delivery, airport pickups, and luggage storage. The platform will also challenge Booking.com by welcoming independent and boutique hotels, and it’s also preparing for the upcoming FIFA World CUP 2026 with exclusive experiences across six host cities.

“A great stay starts before you check in. That’s why we’re adding new services for every part of your trip—from the moment you land to the moment you leave. This is just the beginning of new services guests can book on Airbnb this year,” the company announced yesterday.

For grocery delivery, Airbnb has partnered with Instacart in the US, where the new service is now available in over 25 cities. For a limited time, Airbnb guests will get $0 delivery and $10 off an order of $50 or more.

Airport pickups are also available in over 160 cities worldwide, and Airbnb is offering 20% off every ride in select cities. Airbnb also partnered with Bounce to offer luggage storage in over 15,000 locations in 175 cities. A 15% discount will be available for Airbnb users in select cities.

Car rentals will also be coming to the Airbnb app this summer. At launch, the company will offer new customers a 20% credit back toward their next stay, experience, or select services.

Thousands of boutique and independent hotels will also become available on Airbnb in 20 top global destinations this summer. The company said that it only picked up “hotels that feel like Airbnb,” and it will offer a price match guarantee to customers who find a lower price for the same hotel on another platform. Airbnb will also offer up to 15% credit toward a future Airbnb home to customers who will rent a hotel through its platform.

Lastly, Airbnb is planning to roll out a redesigned homepage and various new features later this summer. The app will get AI-powered comparisons and review highlights, and it will also let users add new social features. Users will be able to add friends and family as connections, send private messages to each other, and share where they’ve been and the places they’ve reviewed with a new travel map.
