Meta is launching today new Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus, and WhatsApp Plus subscriptions with a couple of extra features for power users. The ‘Plus’ subscriptions for Facebook and Instagram are priced at $3.99/month, while WhatsApp Plus is slightly cheaper at $2.99/month.

There’s no full list of premium features as of this writing, but Naomi Gleit, head of product at Meta, said that the premium subscriptions offer “richer ways to express and connect across our apps, with more fun features to be added.” According to TechCrunch, Plus subscribers on Instagram and Facebook can expect new profile customization options, story insights, and other exclusive features like “super reactions.”

WhatsApp Plus, however, will be limited to exclusive app themes, extra pinned chats, premium stickers and ringtones, and more. Notably, Meta isn’t discontinuing its Verified subscriptions for Facebook and Instagram, which provide a blue verified badge and impersonation protection.

Gleit said today that Meta was also testing new subscription plans for Meta AI users that provide more capacity and advanced features. The company will also launch new subscriptions for businesses and creators with exclusive tools for managing their presence, automating tasks, and better protecting their brand identity.

Lastly, the exec said that Meta would launch a new subscription bundle called Meta One. “While we’re still testing and learning, eventually we see Meta One as the one place that brings our subscriptions together across all of our apps. This is just the beginning with a lot more value to come,” Gleit said today.
