Meta unveiled today a new collection of cheaper smart glasses developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. Compared to the Meta Ray-Ban Glasses Gen 2, which start at $379, the new Meta Glasses start at just $299 and are available in three frame styles and multiple colors.
“Building on all the technology and features of the world’s best-selling AI glasses, this new line features bold and timeless shapes, rich colors, and premium materials, all consciously crafted and starting at just $299,” Meta said today.
The new glasses are available with clear lenses, tinted sun lenses, polarised lenses for reduced glare, and transitions lenses that automatically adapt to light conditions. The three frame styles (Adventurer, Fury, and an oval frame designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner) are available in multiple colors, and prescription lenses are available across all styles. The Meta Starfire Kylie Edition starts at $399, however, and they’re the only version of the glasses where the Meta AI chatbot can speak using the voice of the social media influencer.

The Meta Glasses still include built-in cameras, speakers, and microphones for capturing hands-free photos and video, listening to music, taking calls, live-streaming to social media, and accessing the Meta AI chatbot. The latter now uses Muse Spark, the new multimodal reasoning model that just came out from Meta’s Superintelligence Labs.
“With this version of Meta AI, your AI glasses will deliver smarter answers on everything from sports scores to local restaurant picks, better understand what you’re seeing, and help manage your daily life effortlessly — whether you’re building healthy habits, managing your calendar, or navigating a busy schedule hands-free,” Meta explained today.
The built-in battery in the Meta Glasses provides over 8 hours of usage, and the frame charging case offers up to 40 hours of additional charging. You can buy the new Meta Glasses in over 10 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Switzerland via the Meta website and other certified Meta retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy. They are also available to try at Meta retail locations.
