Pocket Casts Comes to Apple TV

The team behind Pocket Casts announced today that the podcast app is available now on Apple TV. This makes sense, given the explosion in video podcasts, and it expands the app beyond the web, Android, iPhone and iPad, and more.

“Pocket Casts is on Apple TV, starting today,” Pocket Casts announced. “Free for everyone, like the rest of Pocket Casts. Android TV is coming soon.”

Pocket Casts for Apple TV provides a simple user interface with Home, Your Podcasts, Playlists, Up Next, and Search tabs. It syncs with the other Pocket Casts apps, of course, so you can pick up where you left off or start enjoying a podcast on Apple TV and finish it elsewhere.

“This is how we’ve always seen Pocket Casts,” the team writes. “The same experience everywhere you are. Phone, watch, car, web, and now the television. Same Up Next. Same history. Same place in every episode, room to room.”
