Xbox Insiders Can Now Record Voice Chat in Game Captures

The Xbox team is continuing to roll out new console features at a faster pace via the Xbox Insider program. Starting today, Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring can try including voice chat in their game captures, new sorting options on the Achievements history page, and more.

“Some of the best gaming moments happen when you’re playing and talking with friends, and we’ve heard from players who wanted more ways to capture them,” the Xbox team said today. When using the built-in Xbox Party Chat feature, players will be able to opt out of having their voice captured in game clips. For games that offer their own voice chat system, all signed-in users will need to opt in to record game chat in captures, though not all games support this feature.

On the Achievements history page, Microsoft is also adding the ability to sort games by name, completion percentage, Gamerscore earned, or number of Achievements unlocked. On X, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma also said that the team is working on an equivalent to PlayStation’s “Platinum” trophy that players can earn after completing all achievements for a specific game.

Xbox gamers looking to have more control over their game saves will soon be allowed to recover a previous version of their save right from their console. This new feature is launching first for Forza Horizon 6, and more games will be supported in the near future.

Lastly, all Xbox gamers can now add up to 1,000 games to their wishlist. The feature can also send notifications when games go on sale or land on Game Pass.
