Google Play Now Accepts Venmo as a Payment Option

The Google Play Store on Android and elsewhere now accepts Venmo as a payment option alongside credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and gift cards.

“Venmo is now available as a payment option on Google Play, giving you more flexibility at checkout,” the Google announcement explains. “Starting today, you can link your Venmo account to the Google Play Store to bring the digital wallet you already trust to the apps, games and digital content you love most.”

Venmo is a U.S.-based mobile payment service how owned by PayPal that lets customers link their accounts with bank accounts and credit cards, send money to others, and make purchases using a virtual MasterCard-based debit card.

To add Venmo to your payment methods in the Google Play Store, open the app and navigate to Payments & subscriptions > Payment methods.
