The Xbox brand will celebrate its 25th anniversary in November, and on this occasion, Microsoft plans to release a limited-edition Xbox Series X25 console and controller with a green translucent design. The custom-designed console and controller were unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase in June, and they will reportedly start shipping on Black Friday, according to a new leak from billbil-kun published on the French website Dealabs.
The same leaker previously revealed that the X25 Special Edition controller would be released on October 20, 2026, with a $79.99/€79.99/£74.99 retail price. Microsoft is reportedly planning to open pre-orders for this controller on August 26 during gamescom.
As for the Xbox Series X25 console, it will reportedly start shipping on Friday, November 27, 2026. It will be priced at €899.99 in Europe, which should translate to $899.99 in the US.
In the EU, that €899.99 price for the limited edition Xbox Series X25 is €100 more expensive than the regular Xbox Series X following the latest price increases. It’s also the same price as Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro, which saw its price go from €799.99 to €899.99 back in April.
Unlike the Xbox Series X, the PlayStation 5 Pro doesn’t come with a disc drive, but it has a larger 2TB SSD. It’s also the most powerful current-gen console on the market, and it plays Xbox games like the recent Halo: Campaign Evolved better than the Series X, as the experts at Digital Foundry recently pointed out.
