Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection to Start Shipping on November 13, Pre-orders Are Now Open

Microsoft is opening pre-orders for its Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console, with shipments starting on November 13. In the US, the limited edition console is priced at $899.99, and the bundle will also include a free copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved.

A limited number of Xbox fans will be invited by email to pre-order the Xbox 25th anniversary collection today, and pre-orders will be open to all players in select markets tomorrow, August 27 at 7 AM PDT. The Xbox team said that due to limited supply, pre-orders will be limited to one Xbox 25th anniversary collection per customer.

“From the translucent OG Green design to the details and tributes hidden throughout the hardware, every detail was created to celebrate the players, games, and moments that have shaped XBOX over the past 25 years. Every XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console is individually numbered with a unique engraving, making each one a lasting piece of XBOX history,” the Xbox team said about the custom design console.

Obviously, $899.99 is a lot to ask for a console that launched at $500 back in November 2020. The limited-edition Xbox Series X console also matches the price of Sony’s more powerful PlayStation 5 Pro, which lacks a disc drive but offers twice the SSD storage.

For Xbox fans who don’t want to spend $899.99 on the limited-edition console, the translucent Xbox X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller is also available for pre-order in select markets today. It’s priced at $79.99 in the US, and it will start shipping on October 20.
