Amazon Prime Gaming and Luna Are Getting Some Nice Updates This Month

Amazon announced some nice updates to Prime Gaming and Luna today with new game titles available on each and a new Remote Play feature on Luna.

“Amazon has been making it easier for Prime members to play games without buying a console or dedicated gaming hardware,” an Amazon representative told me. “At the same time, Amazon has reimagined gaming for Prime members, giving them access to nearly 100 games at no additional cost on devices they already own. With Prime reaching hundreds of millions of members worldwide, Luna is gaining traction as Amazon looks to bring gaming to a much broader audience.”

Amazon Prime Gaming is free for anyone with an Amazon Prime account and it’s adding several new PC games that members can claim for free, most notably DOOM + DOOM II (available now) and Doom Eternal (September 17).

Luna is Amazon’s game streaming service. Luna Standard is free with an Amazon Prime membership, or you can subscribe to Luna Premium for $9.99 per month and gain access to a larger library of games. This month, Star Wars: Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are coming to Luna Standard and Amazon is making several new GameNight titles available throughout the month, including King of Tokyo, It’s Quiz Time: Guinness World Records, Bowling Mayhem, and Cranium Planet.

Luna is also getting a nice functional update thanks to a new Remote Play feature that lets members play multiplayer games with up to 7 friends and family from anywhere, even those without a Prime membership, at no extra cost.
