Tip of the week: Build your own mini-PC with Intel NUC
Couldn’t be easier. (And here)
Software pick of the week: Pocket
Not sure how I avoided this one for so long. It’s awesome and it works everywhere.
Enterprise pick of the week: Dynamics AX: ERP as a service
Microsoft’s latest release of its Dynamics AX ERP suite is all cloud, all the time now. In fact, the coming on-premises version will only run on Azure Stack, not Win Server
Codename pick of the week: Project Rigel
Not the Adobe Project Rigel… this is Microsoft’s. Project Rigel, due in the second half of 2016, is designed to bring Skype for Business meeting experiences, using Win 10 devices, to conference rooms with displays and projectors (and not just Surface Hubs). Rigel is the brightest star in the constellation Orion and the seventh brightest star in the night sky.
Beer pick of the week: Hi-Fi Brewing Sitar IPA
Next time you’re in Redmond and want to visit a cool brewery close to Microsoft, check out Hi-Fi Brewing. Lots of musically themed beers including the very nice Sitar IPA: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/32636/158147/
Audible pick of the week: Fear the Sky: The Fear Saga, Book 1
Fear the Sky: The Fear Saga, Book 1 is amazing: Great sci-fi story, plus it’s read by R.C. Bray of “The Martian” fame. Oh my!
