Google’s Nest Mini Speaker Flaunts New Wall Mount in FCC Listing

Google is expected to announce a bunch of new hardware in October. The company will not only launch new Pixel phones, but there will be some new smart home products, too.
We previously reported about the new Google Home Mini that’s coming out this year, and now some of those features are being confirmed in a new FCC listing. Google’s new Home Mini isn’t actually going to be part of the Google Home brand. The company is instead embracing the Nest brand, meaning this new device is going to be called the Google Nest Mini.

Either way, the only drawing shared on the FCC listing for the device shows off the back of the new Nest Mini. The main thing here is the new wall mount, which will allow you to mount the speaker to a wall or hang it wherever you want. And as 9to5Google notes, the diagram also seems to show off a hole for the 3.5mm stereo jack that could allow for both audio input and output. Another notable thing on the drawing is the “Setup Code” at the bottom of the back, which could allow for an easier setup process with the new Nest Mini.
And that’s really about it. The Nest Mini isn’t expected to be a major upgrade from the Home Mini, but we are still expecting improved sound with higher maximum volume and better bass on the new device, along with some new colors.
