“Xamarin Dev Days provide attendees with a hands-on learning experience,” the Xamarin Dev Days web site explains. “Spend the morning exploring mobile development with sessions from Xamarin, our technology partners, and members of your local developer community, then roll up your sleeves for an afternoon dedicated to diving into code. Each Xamarin Dev Days is unique, but you’ll always walk away with a better understanding of how you can build, test, and monitor native iOS, Android, and Windows apps with Xamarin.”
Microsoft/Xamarin organized 136 Dev Days in over 55 countries, and in over 20 different languages, in the past year. The firm says that over 9,500 developers attended these events around the world. And now the content is being made available to anyone, on demand, viaChannel 9’s Xamarin Dev Days Live virtual event, which debuted in mid-December.
So far, the first two sessions are available on demand. They are:
Introduction to Xamarin – In this session we will be cover developing native iOS, Android, and Windows apps in C# with Xamarin.
Cross-platform UI with Xamarin.Forms – Build native UIs for iOS, Android and Windows from a single, shared C# codebase. Learn how to use the Xamarin.Forms API to quickly build native apps for iOS, Android and Windows completely in C#.
More is coming soon. But if you’re interested in learning Xamarin development, you can also check out the previous six-part video series that Microsoft posted on Channel 9 too.
