Microsoft offered its Xbox One S for just $250 on Black Friday, but Sony just raised the stakes: The firm announced this week that the PlayStation 4 will cost just $250 from December 11 through December 24.
“We first brought you this deal during Black Friday weekend, and it was incredibly successful for PS4 sales so we decided to bring it back this month,” Sony’s John Koller revealed on the PlayStation Blog. “You can treat yourself, or pick this up for someone else on your list.”

A couple of points for clarity:
The sale starts Sunday. This deal isn’t available today, it starts on Sunday, which is admittedly a curious day for that. And then it runs for two weeks, through Saturday, December 24. Which is of course Christmas Eve.
It’s for the Uncharted 4 bundle. That pricing is for one specific PS4 bundle, which is fine since you’re getting a free game: the Uncharted 4 PlayStation 4 Bundle.
It’s U.S. and Canada only. Though Sony notes that it will be available at a variety of retailers.
It’s the PS4 Slim. I assume this is obvious, but the console is the slim new PS4 with a 500 GB hard drive, a single DualShock 4 controller, and a free copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
I wonder if Microsoft will try to match this.
