Not convinced that Xbox One X is the real deal? Well, you can find out for yourself starting tomorrow. Assuming, that is, that you live near a Microsoft retail store or other participating location.
If you do, Microsoft is going to let you experience Forza Motorsport 7 in all of its 4K/HDR glory, running on Xbox One X.

“Experience firsthand the gorgeous graphics of Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox One X,” Microsoft’s Mike Nelson explains. “Forza Motorsport 7 immerses players in the exhilarating thrill of competitive racing. Built from the ground up to be UHD at 60 frames per second and true 4K resolution in HDR, Forza Motorsport 7 will be the premiere 4K gaming experience. This is Forza reimagined.”
It looks like Best Buy will have demos in addition to Microsoft’s own stores, and GameStop is coming soon too. I recommend taking a look.

Power is not going to be the issue for the Xbox One X.

For most people, most likely current Xbox One users, this looks to be a big upgrade. However, from what I am hearing price is going to be an issue with the unit at $500.

For $500, one can buy an Xbox One S AND a PS4.

I know the Xbox One X is being sold out, but ever since the Surface Pro 3 debacle, Microsoft has conveniently been selling out quite often. Is this a matter of coincidence or by design? LOL…I was laughing at the Surface Pro 3 debacle, especially when Microsoft stated that they made too much. I think that ever since that happened, Microsoft has been shortening their production of their products…on purpose.

All in all, I know the graphics in the Xbox One X will be great. However for $500, i doubt that it will be that GREAT. For $500, the graphics has to be so super awesome to justify the upgrade for both Xbox One S and/or Playstation 4.

One thing is for sure. I doubt anyone will write an open letter to Microsoft begging them to lower the price, like some stay at home bloggers do for the latest Google Pixel. *wink* *wink*

In reply to PeteB:

98% of console games are multi-platform. Let's not forget backward compatibility that the PS does not have. The "games" argument is a sad one brought up by salty ponies.

I have a PS4, it collects dust. Xbox Live network (lag, group chat etc) > PSN 8 days a week.
