With rumors of new surface hardware/refresh on the horizon. Do you think it's possible that Microsoft would release a version of the surface studio that functioned as a true monitor without the computer guts.

Are you able to question the Skype team, if they are looking to bring any MS Teams style functionality to the regular client, There are instances where we use consumer Skype for "work" (planning, group messaging) and features that I've taken for granted in Slack, would be very useful in consumer Skype such as searching through messages and quick access to shared files (instead of having to scroll all the way up, to where it was posted).

Annecdotaly, many people, especially in the gaming community, have moved over to Discord instead of continuing to use group chats on Skype because of those collaboration/team features.

Should they have focussed on making Skype a better collaboration tool ala Slack, Discord (like a free version of Teams), instead of cloning whatsapp, messenger and snapchat

You wake up in the middle of the night and Trump is stood there with a shotgun. He says either you compete in the olympics and win a medal for the US or I shoot you and if you don't medal he shoots you. Which event do you go for? You can pick any (summer Olympic only)

Hello Brad, sorry for last week post with no question.

1) Do you think that Microsoft should let UWP go and return with the old start menu that so many loved? And use the notification area for some live tiles that some people would like to use like the old Win7 gadgets.

2) Or should Microsoft at least replace UWP with a real Xamarin.Windows and have a real multi-platform framework for Windows, iOS and Android? Kinda like Embarcadero Delphi with their FireMonkey framework.

3) I see that Microsoft is updating Windows App more frequently lately. But, is Microsoft really that serious about giving us first class applications from the store seeing how bad the store situation is? Is it hopeless?

4) I know that Google is having antitrust in UE. Do you think that Opera and Vivaldi expressing concerns about Google finally trying to show us that Google is doing the same things as Microsoft in the past? Is Google beginning to be evil? :)

Brad, it seems like the rumored project Andromeda and Cshell seem to have been getting rained on by Paul and touted as another mobile reboot. I think a full windows 10 mobile device would actually be a hit in the market. Google seems to have a similar idea by creating Google Fushia for future devices. Do you think the existence of Google Fushia validates Microsoft's approach with Andromeda/Cshell?

If Microsoft becomes the "cloud company" at what point does it matter whether people use Windows as client? Maybe it wont matter if everyone has a chromebook to access Microsoft services?

In reply to Usman:

MSFT has a long history of premature product announcements designed to stymie competitors. Hasn't worked so well in recent years as more an more people no longer care whether MSFT would have its own products someday.

What would be your guess for the right time to turn off insider builds if we want to stay with the current branch on 1709? It seems like the rapid-fire builds stopped. Is 16281 "the one?"
