Chromebook & iPad power off

I’ve just sat my Chromebooks Asus C302C) on top of my iPad Pro and the Chromebook screen shut off. I picked up the Chromebook and the screen came back on, sit it down and its off again.

Any ideas what is causing this odd behaviour?
