Plus: A Windows 11 bug to know about
I’ve been testing Google Drive for desktop for the past week and I like the way it integrates with File Explorer. Why consider it over OneDrive? Well, you can use them together (I am). But Google also offers more and less expensive storage: You can get 2 TB for $9.99 per month as a consumer, for example.
Loop components are moving beyond just Teams and starting their rollout in Outlook. (Generally available for Outlook for the Web and Outlook for Windows desktop starting in June.) But still no word on when the standalone Loop app may arrive. Build? Or later?
MS Q3 FY22 earnings are next Tuesday. Woohoo?!?!
I’m not sure if Microsoft will finally go public with MetaOS at Build or not. But more mentions of the MetaOS hubs are trickling out. A MetaOS refresher. The hubs include Teams, Outlook, Office.com/Union and Edge. Given that there’s a strong developer platform angle for MetaOS, which includes the substrate, Graph API, Power Platform and more, Build might be a good place for an unveiling of some kind of SDK.
A strong dark Belgian from Brouwerij Huyghe. It’s 11.8% and currently available in bottles and even on draft at one of my local haunts. This is Delirium’s Nocturnum aged for 10 months in Bourbon barrels. It has a bit of “char” on it, but also has all the delicious caramel/brown sugar, dark fruit, raisin flavor that’s typical in Belgian dark ales.
