PowerToys picks up three new tools.
Microsoft has rewritten the Stream mobile app and the beta versions for both iOS and Android are now available. The beta app gives users access to both Stream Classic and Stream on SharePoint videos, a personalized home feed and an improved video viewing experience. A bunch of key features are not there, like video recording, uploading and offline downloads. But Microsoft says it expects to add these features in 2023 (after the new Stream mobile goes GA).
Microsoft is launching a new enterprise content delivery network meant to improve video streaming across customers’ organizations. Microsoft eCDN, based on the tech Microsoft bought when it acquired Peer5 last year, is meant to improve live streaming of large corporate webcasts and virtual events in Microsoft Teams Live Events. The product is available now as a standalone offer, via volume licensing direct from Microsoft or via partners.
