Apple Intelligence to Add Support For German, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, And Other Languages in 2025

Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence, which will officially launch in the US next month, is set to add support for more than 5 new languages in 2025. Apple confirmed to TechCrunch that support for English (India), English (Singapore), German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and “others” is coming next year.

While Apple has already confirmed that its personal intelligence system won’t launch in the EU and China this year, the company has already said that support for Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish will come in 2025. Before that happens, Apple will also add localized English support for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK later this year.

In the EU, Mac users should be able to access Apple Intelligence with the release of macOS Sonoma 15.1 in October. That’s because macOS, which is much more open than iOS and iPadOS, wasn’t designated by the EU Commission as a “core platform service” that needs to be regulated under the Digital Markets Acts. Apple Intelligence is already available in the EU in the latest macOS Sequoia 15.1 developer beta.

Apple previously said that it was discussing with regulators in the EU and China to bring Apple Intelligence to these markets, but it could take time. At launch, Apple Intelligence will only be available on the iPhone 16 lineup, last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, and all Mac and iPad models with M-Series chips.
