Testing the Thurrott.com Swag Store!

Thurrott.com Swag Store

We’re in Mexico, so this is absolutely the wrong time to test this, but what the heck. My wife selected a service for Thurrott.com swag, and I could use some feedback.

The service is called Printify and you can view a very early version of the store at thurrott.printify.me. It’s surprisingly time-consuming to add individual products to the store, so I’ve been doing so in small batches. And in cases where there are multiple color options, you don’t often get all the colors as choices. Instead, you have to make a new entry for each color, apparently.

Anyway. If we were in the U.S., I would have ordered several items to rate the quality, but we’re not. So I ordered one, a mug, and it will get here when it gets here (and at great cost). So I figured the best thing to do for now was to let you see the store so you can get a rough idea of what will be available. But what I’d really like is some feedback on which products make the most sense for a Thurrott.com “T” logo and/or anything else.

To do that, please visit the Printify catalog. If you mouse-over the “Catalog” item at the top of the page, a pop-up will appear listing the various product categories.

Some obvious starting points are Best Sellers, Tech Accessories, Travel Accessories, and maybe Men’s Clothing. But it could be just about anything, and some fairly obvious products, like mouse pads, are not easy to find for some reason.

To be clear, I’ve not done any work at all to determine the pricing of any items. I just wanted to throw this out there first, see what it looks like, and let you take a look. You can buy any of these items, but it’s likely I will adjust designs, color availability, and maybe even pricing. I just haven’t looked at most of that yet.

We’re going to make a similar store for Eternal Spring as well. But for now, please let me know what looks most interesting, if anything.

Thanks!
