Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 preview build 22635.4510 for Insiders on the Beta Channel. This new build comes with minor improvements for the taskbar and Narrator, and it also brings back the the new Gamepad keyboard layout for the Windows 11 on-screen keyboard that Microsoft disabled in recent builds to address some issues.

The main change in this build is the ability to share files directly from a jump lists on the taskbar. You can see an example below with a Share icon appearing on a .txt file on the jump list for Notepad

The Windows 11 Insider build 22635.4510 also improves the Narrator scan mode with new shortcuts for skipping past links emails, news articles, and wiki pages, and jumping to lists on a web page or a document. These new features were also included in the Build 26100.2448 that was released on the Release Preview Channel yesterday.

Lastly, Microsoft is improving the speech-to-text and text-to-speech experience on Windows, and that should impact various accessibility features such as Narrator, voice access, live captions, live translations, and voice typing. These updates will require the download of new language files via the Microsoft Store.

If the Dev Channel didn’t get a new build this week, Microsoft did drop the build 27749 on the Canary Channel two days ago. Yesterday, the company also released a new Windows 10 preview build for Insiders on the Release Preview and Beta channels, and it also announced that the latter is going away.
