Firefox 135 Arrives with AI Chatbot, More

Firefox with Chatbot in the sidebar

Mozilla today announced the release of Firefox 135, the latest version of its flagship web browser, for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iPhone, and iPad.

Here’s what’s new.

Desktop

Users on Windows, Mac, and Linux will start to gain access to the AI Chatbot feature that was previously available from Firefox Labs. This sidebar feature lets you access AI chatbots like Anthropic Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, HuggingChat, and Le Chat Mistral while you browse the web. Firefox 135 also adds a credit card autofill feature, support for more Firefox Translation languages, and new certificate functionality.

Mozilla also updated the New Tab experience in Firefox 134, but only in the United States. That update is now rolling out to all users in regions where Stories are available. “It features a repositioned logo to prioritize Web Search, Shortcuts, and Recommended Stories at the top,” Mozilla notes. “The update also includes changes to the card UI for recommended stories and allows users with larger screens to see up to four columns for better use of space.”

You can download Firefox for Windows, Mac, or Linux from the Firefox website (or, with Windows, from the Microsoft Store).

Android

Firefox 135 for Android is a minor update with bug fixes and quality improvements. And you can now enable automatic crash reporting if you want to help Mozilla improve the quality of the product. You can download Firefox for Android from the Google Play Store.

iPhone and iPad

Firefox 135 for iOS delivers a redesigned pull-to-refresh experience, improve voice-over support, improved app performance, and minor interface updates that include theming fixes, updated icons, and navigation improvements. You can download Firefox for iOS from the Apple App Store.
