Samsung Announces Galaxy Unpacked Event on July 9

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 9

Samsung announced yesterday a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 where the company will unveil “the latest and greatest additions to the Galaxy portfolio.” The announcement mentions that the “Ultra experience is ready to unfold,” so we may get a new foldable Galaxy Ultra phone this year.

In recent years, Samsung launched new Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones in the summer, as well as new smartwatches and accessories. This year will likely be no different, though there should be an increased focus on AI features.

“This future is already unfolding, and the best of Galaxy AI and Samsung craftsmanship is set to be unveiled. Galaxy devices are being reimagined around this new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock its full potential,” the company said today.

While Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices are pretty much iterative updates at this point, the software story should be more interesting. Paul wrote extensively about Samsung’s One UI 7 and its new Galaxy AI features, which are mostly powered by Google Gemini. However, recent reports suggest that Samsung may be ready to integrate Perplexity AI into its latest Galaxy devices.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held in Brooklyn, New York, will also be live-streamed on YouTube. Ahead of the event, the company is also inviting early enthusiasts to reserve the latest Galaxy devices on Samsung.com and receive a $50 Samsung credit.
