Spotify has started testing a new “Your Updates” notification feed on its mobile app that shows updates about users’ followers, playlists, events, and more. This new notification feed will complete the existing “What’s new” feed highlighting the latest releases from artists, podcasts, and shows users follow on the platform.
If you’re part of the test, the Your Updates feed can be found in the left navigation menu that appears when you tap your profile picture in the mobile app. There, you should see updates about new followers, playlist updates, ticket availability for your favorite artists, and more.

A blue badge on your profile picture will indicate that there’s new activity on your “Your Updates” feed. There, you can mark all notifications as read or delete notifications one by one. All notifications in the feed will be automatically deleted after 90 days.
While I’m seeing this new “Your Updates” feed on my Spotify app, it’s currently not showing any notifications. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said that this new feature is “still in the early days,” but the social elements should be interesting. In addition to new followers, Spotify users will also be able to see replies to their podcast comments on this new feed.
