Microsoft Issues New Windows 11 Preview Builds to Dev and Beta

If you have a PC enrolled in the Windows Insider Program’s Dev or Beta channels, you’ve got an update to install.

In the Dev channel, cumulative update KB5065793 will upgrade Windows 11 version 25H2 to build 26220.6760. And in the Beta channel, cumulative update KB5065793 will upgrade Windows 11 version 24H2 to build 26120.6760.

As is usually the case, these two builds include the same features and changes. The key ones are:

File Explorer search improvements. For Copilot+ PCs only, the File Explorer search box now includes placeholder text to highlight the new semantic search capabilities. Microsoft has also shipped pre-release APIs so third-party cloud providers can integrate with the Home page in File Explorer.

Network speed test. You can now access a network speed test from the Wi-Fi and Cellular Quick Settings pages or by right-clicking the network icon in the system tray.

Get Started improvements. The Get Started app now includes a page for Microsoft 365 Copilot so you can learn about this in-box app.
