Duck.ai Adds Image Generation

Duck.ai, the anonymous AI chatbot from DuckDuckGo, how has image generation capabilities, a highly requested feature.

“Duck.ai [has] an AI image generator that respects your privacy,” a DuckDuckGo representative told me. “It’s free to use within a daily limit. Users can unlock a higher limit with a DuckDuckGo subscription, or come back the next day for more.”

Duck.ai image generation is available now on the Duck.ai website: Just select “New Image” in the sidebar and then type your prompt. As with standard chats, Duck.ai protects your privacy by anonymizing your prompts, nothing you type is used to train the underlying OpenAI image model, and the images it generates are stored locally on your device, not on DuckDuckGo servers. Also, all images created with Duck.ai are labeled as AI-generated in accordance with the C2PA standard.

Duck.ai image generation is currently in beta and DuckDuckGo says that it will be adding additional functionality before it exits beta, like the ability to upload reference images and a dedicated download button on mobile.

If you have a DuckDuckGo Pro subscription, you also gain access to advanced AI models plus other services like a personal information removal service, identity theft restoration, and the DuckDuckGo VPN. DuckDuckGo Pro costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
