? Thurrott Premium Members Now Get All My Books For Free!

When I started working on the book De-Enshittify Windows 11, I noted that Thurrott Premium members would get the book for free when it was complete. But I really wanted to do more for you than that, and while this was a long time coming, I am excited to finally announce that Thurrott Premium members get all of my current books, now and in the future, for free as part of the membership.

There were a few issues I had to overcome to make this happen.  I had to generate blocks of coupon codes that you could then use to access a given book on Leanpub. (And, of course, you would need to have a Leanpub account as well.) And then we would have to program each code into each Premium account somehow through WordPress, which is laborious and expensive. Tied to this, when we had monthly Premium subscriptions, there was always the risk that someone might just sign up for a single month just to get all the books. (And, potentially, then pirate them.)

Today, we only offer annual subscriptions, eliminating that latter risk to some degree. And Robert came up with a system through which I can upload each book in PDF and EPUB formats and then Premium members can view the collection of available books and download those they want at any time. There’s no Leanpub membership required, and I will keep the book files up-to-date if and when I update each book.

• Windows Everywhere

The following book isn’t available quite yet, sorry–its size is causing issues in WordPress–but we’ll figure that out soon:

• Windows 11 Field Guide (24H2 edition)

As noted, I will be adding future books, including the Windows 11 Field Guide (25H2 edition), to this collection as well. (That book will be a shorter title that only includes new content, so the version on Leanpub will also come with a copy of the 24H2 edition of the book.)

To access your free e-books, Thurrott Premium members just need to sign in to Thurrott.com and visit the Paul’s Books collection page. You will always have access to the latest version of each book there, and if you leave Thurrott Premium, the books you’ve downloaded will be yours to keep forever, albeit without any future updates.
