Samsung Browser for Windows Goes Out of Beta and Gains New AI Features

Samsung Browser for Windows

The Windows version of Samsung’s web browser is going out of beta today, and it offers cross-device experiences for users with a Galaxy smartphone. When logged in with a Samsung account, users can pick up where they left off on a webpage between mobile and PC, and Samsung also partnered with Perplexity AI to integrate new AI features into its desktop web browser.

Samsung’s web browser launched in beta on Windows in October, and it already offered AI summarization features. Now, the web browser can summarize and compare content across multiple tabs, and it can also analyze videos to find specific moments to watch.

“Samsung is introducing a new AI-powered assistant built into Samsung Browser that brings agentic AI directly into the browsing experience in partnership with Perplexity. Samsung Browser is designed to understand natural language and the context of the page users are viewing, as well as activity across tabs, making it easier to explore content and take action, the company said today.

“The AI features in Samsung Browser can be accessed by clicking the Galaxy AI button, which opens a familiar chat window. Samsung mentioned the inclusion of “agentic AI” features, but this isn’t exactly true.

Yes, the built-in assistant can analyze web pages and videos, translate web pages, help users to find previously visited pages, and create content like tour guides. However, it can’t perform actions on users’ behalf yet. The aforementioned AI features are also only available in South Korea and the US at the moment, though Samsung plans to bring them to more markets soon.

Samsung Browser for Windows is available on Windows 11 and Windows 10, and it can be downloaded from this page.
