Adobe Expands Creative Agent Across Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, More

Adobe has begun rolling out its creative agent across Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, and other Creative Cloud apps, helping creative professionals orchestrate multi-step workflows.

“Adobe has always been at the center of how the best creative work comes to life, and this is a major expansion of that promise,” Adobe president David Wadhwani says. “Every creative now has an agent capable of helping them execute across every app and platform where they work so they can set the vision, apply their taste, and make the calls that only they can.”

With this set of updates, the AI Assistant in Firefly gets professional tools and delivers them across the Creative Cloud family of apps using a single conversational interface. Now, creators can describe the outcome they want, and the assistant will orchestrate multistep workflows behind the scenes.

New tools include brand kit creation, short product video creation, Quick Cut for automatically assembling video clips into a polished first cut, and the ability to generate videos from storyboards. There are also new customization upgrades that better understand a creator’s intent, surface any asset they describe in their own words, and learn preferences with use over time. You can also invite collaborators to review and provide feedback on work directly inside AI Assistant in Firefly.

Adobe is also shipping an upgraded creative AI studio experience in private beta that will deliver persistent context, reusable assets, and organized workflows in Firefly. There are public betas of Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io with creative agent-powered AI assistant capabilities in each application. For example, in Photoshop, the AI assistant can help with anything normally done manually in the Project panel or Timeline, like sorting assets into bins, batch renaming clips, and adding markers. And there is a private beta of AI Assistant in After Effects, with agentic capabilities coming to other Creative Cloud apps soon.

These new AI Assistant capabilities are available today in the Firefly (beta) web app. The upgraded Firefly creative AI studio experience is available in private beta with a waitlist, and you can learn more here. And you can find out more about the AI Assistant in public beta in Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Frame.io, and InDesign, and in private beta in After Effects, on the Adobe Blog.
