Microsoft Issues a New Windows 11 Insider Experimental (Future Platforms) Build

One week after Microsoft released new builds to every other channel in the Windows Insider Program, Experimental (Future Platforms) is finally getting some love. But not too much love, as there are no major new features or changes.

Here’s what’s new in Windows 11 build 29634.1000 in the Experimental (Future Platforms) channel:

• Updated Windows Insider Program interface. With this build, Experimental (Future Plagtforms) finally moves to the modern Windows Insider Program interface in the Settings app. It’s the last to do so.
• Renewed Windows Insider flight certificate. Microsoft uses so-called flight certificates for Windows Insider builds that are renewed periodically to help ensure that PCs enrolled in the program remain on supported builds and can continue receiving updates and/or new builds. The current certificate expires on August 11, so this update includes a new certificate. You can find out more about this topic on Microsoft Learn.
• Voice Isolation in Voice Access. This new Voice Access feature filters out other voices and background noise so Voice Access can better understand you, with all processing occurring privately on your PC.
• Narrator improvements. Narrator now works better with braille displays.
• Account Control flyout. This is the interface that appears when you click your profile picture in Start, and it’s been refreshed with a modern design that’s mostly about advertising subscription upgrades to you.
• Emoji panel improvements. GIPHY is now the GIF provider.
• Other minor improvements. Start, Taskbar, Settings, Date and time, and Display and graphics all received minor improvements, mostly tied to reliability.
