Qualcomm Shares the Full Snapdragon C Specifications

Qualcomm announced its new Snapdragon C chipset for low-end PCs back in May for PC makers that want to take on the MacBook Neo. Now we know more.

“We’re excited to share the complete Snapdragon C specifications, providing a deeper look at the platform,” a Qualcomm representative told me. “Snapdragon C addresses a significant opportunity in the entry-tier PC market, bringing Qualcomm’s leadership in power-efficient computing to a broader range of devices and users. Designed for students, families, and small businesses, the platform combines responsive performance, exceptional battery life, and efficient designs at accessible price points, helping expand consumer choice and raise expectations for the entry-tier PC category.”

At a high level, Qualcomm says that Snapdragon C provides all day battery life, a Qualcomm Kryo CPU with 8 cores, responsive performance even when unplugged, a dedicated Qualcomm Hexagon NPU that delivers modern AI capabilities for everyday laptops, Wi-Fi 6/6E connectivity, and Bluetooth, USB-C, and USB-A accessory connections. And that the resulting laptops will be quiet and portable and work well in busy environments and on-the-go.

Looking at the specifications a bit more deeply, I see components that are more similar to what we see in phones and tablets than PCs, which is interesting. A few things stand out:

  • The Qualcomm Kryo CPU is a 64-bit design with a 3 GHz clock speed and 2 MB of cache.
  • The Qualcomm Adreno A643 GPU has a 900 MHz clock speed and supports DirectX 12.
  • There’s a Qualcomm Adreno VPU (video processing unit) for H.264 and H.265 video, plus Qualcomm aptX Audio.
  • The entire system on a chip (SoC) design is built on a 6 nm manufacturing process.
  • The SoC supports LPDDR5/5 RAM at 6400 MT/s or 4200 MT/s and UFS 3.1 or 2.2 storage, not SSD.
  • The SoC supports Embedded DisplayPort (eDP) 1.4 with one display at 4K/60 FPS or Full HD/120 FPS.
  • The SoC supports USB 3.1, which should limit it to 5 Gbps transfer rates.

Qualcomm tells me that Snapdragon C provides 67 percent faster performance on battery than the Intel N250 chipset, and that PC makers like Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, and HP will announce new PCs based on this platform soon. Since IFA 2026 in Berlin is just weeks away, that seems like the obvious timeframe.
