Gemini Live’s Camera and Screen Sharing Support Comes to Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25

Gemini Live, a new generative AI feature that lets iOS and Android users have free-flowing conversations with Google’s AI assistant, is getting better with camera and screen sharing support. This will let mobile users talk with Gemini about the things on their screen or what’s in front of their camera, and these new capabilities are rolling out now to Google Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 owners.

When sharing your camera with Gemini Live, the assistant can help you brainstorm creative projects, organize items in front of you, or provide visual guidance after analyzing your surroundings. Gemini Live can also help you to troubleshoot appliances like an Internet router, as you can see in the video below.

When sharing your screen with Gemini Live, the chatbot can surface specific information from a web page or suggest things you may not know about the topic at hand. Gemini can also act as a personal shopping assistant as you browse items across different websites.

Using Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing will eventually become available on all Android devices, but the feature will require a Gemini Advanced subscription. Please note that Gemini Live is not yet available for enterprise and education accounts.
