Meta AI App Gets New “Vibes” Feed of AI-Generated Content

Meta AI Vibes Feed

Meta introduced a new “Vibes” feed of AI videos inside its Meta AI app yesterday. The new feed is part of what the company describes as “the next iteration of the Meta AI app,” with a higher focus on AI-generated visual content and community features.

“Vibes is designed to make it easier to find creative inspiration and experiment with Meta AI’s media tools,” the company said in the announcement. “As you browse, you’ll see a range of AI-generated videos from creators and communities. The feed will become more personalized over time, and if something catches your eye, you can create your own video, remix what you see, and share it with friends and followers.”

A lot of the AI-generated videos in this new Vibes feed could be described as “AI slop,” and there’s probably an audience for this kind of content. The Meta AI app lets users remix videos seen in the new Vibes feed or create original ones using natural language prompts or content they already have. These videos can later be shared directly on the Vibes feed and/or Facebook and Instagram.

This new Vibes feed is available on both the web and mobile versions of the Meta AI app. The latter also still serves as a hub for managing Meta Ray-Ban glasses, with a new model with a built-in display coming very soon.

Besides this new way to discover and create AI videos in Meta AI, the company also announced today that it will soon expand its “pay or consent” model to the UK. Over the coming weeks, UK users will be able to pay £2.99/month on the web to stop seeing ads on Facebook and Instagram. The price will rise to £3.99/month when subscribing from iOS and Android, however.
