Google is expanding access to its low-cost AI Plus plan to 36 new countries this week. The new plan was first launched in Indonesia in early September before rolling out to 40 additional countries later in the month, but it’s still not available in the US.
“Google AI Plus includes higher limits for our image generation and editing model, Nano Banana, and more access to video generation in the Gemini app, Flow, and Whisk. You also get Gemini built into apps like Gmail and Docs, expanded access to NotebookLM, 200 GB of storage and more,” Google explained yesterday.
At approximately $5-6 per month, Google Plus is cheaper than the $20/month Google AI Pro, which provides higher access to Google’s most capable Gemini 2.5 ProModel, more AI credits to use for video generation across Flow and Whisk, 2TB of cloud storage, and more. Google is also selling an AI Ultra plan at $250 per month with even higher limits and advanced capabilities, plus 30TB of cloud storage.
The list of new countries where Google AI Plus is available includes Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Romania, Serbia, Paraguay, and South Africa. The full list of supported markets is available on this page. Eligible users can also enjoy a 50% discount on Google AI Plus for the first 6 months.
