Adobe Acrobat Can Now Turn PDFs Into Podcasts and Presentations

Adobe Acrobat PDF generate podcast presentation

Adobe is launching today new generative AI features in its Acrobat app, its popular PDF reader. The app can now turn PDFs into professional-looking presentations and podcasts, though not for free.

The new AI features are available with Acrobat Studio, the $24.99/month subscription that unlocks Adobe Express tools for power users. The subscription also provides access to the Acrobat AI assistant, which can summarize PDFs, create custom images, and more.

The new Generate presentation feature in Adobe Acrobat can create an outline from a PDF document and turn it into a presentation. Users can fine-tune its length, tone, and design using Adobe’s AI assistant, which can also create AI-generated images or pick up high-quality images and videos from Adobe Stock.

“New, chat-based AI in Acrobat gives you a smarter, faster way to complete essential PDF tasks with simple, natural-language prompts. Using AI Assistant, you can remove pages, text, comments and images, find and replace words and phrases, add e-signatures and passwords and more,” the company explained today.

The new Generate podcast feature in Adobe Acrobat can also turn PDFs into podcasts. This is something Google pioneered with its NotebookLM app, which can create podcasts with multiple hosts using various sources inlcuding PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, and more. NotebookLM is free to use, and Google recently integrated its features into its Gemini app on the web and Android.
