Google Photos is Now Available on Samsung’s 2026 TV Lineup

Back in December, Samsung announced that it would be the first smart TV maker to bring Google Photos features to its 2026 AI TV lineup. The new integration has started rolling out this week (via 9to5Google), but it’s currently limited to curated “Memories” available via the TV’s Daily+ row, Daily+ app launcher, and Now Brief widget.

Samsung previously said that this new Memories experience with Google Photos would be exclusively available on its TVs for six months. While it’s also possible to access Google Photos on devices running Google TV, Samsung’s announcement suggests that a Google Photos app may eventually come to other smart TV platforms.

At the moment, owners of 2026 Samsung smart TV models can browse a selection of memories on the Daily+ row. Memories are also available on the TV’s Now Brief widget, and clicking on the Google Photos app on the Daily+ app launcher will also open memories in full screen.

Later this year, the Google Photos integration on Samsung’s 2026 TVs will add editing and image generation features powered by Google’s Nano Banana model. Select creative AI templates will also be available exclusively on Samsung TVs. Lastly, a new search experience with personalized results will display related photos as a slideshow based on topics or contents of a memory.
