Gemini Live Can Now Manage Gmail Inboxes and Use Google’s Spark Agent

Gemini Live Gmail inbox management

Gemini Live, the conversational experience on Google’s Gemini mobile app, is becoming much more useful and capable this week. It now lets users manage their Gmail inbox hands-free, and with Personal Intelligence, Gemini Live can now access information from other Google apps such as YouTube and Google Photos. Paid users in the US will also enjoy a new Daily Brief feature, plus the integration of Google’s Spark AI agent.

Personal Intelligence and Gmail inbox management in Gemini Live are rolling out to all Gemini Live users around the world. When Personal Intelligence is enabled, Gemini will remember context from past conversations and use information from connected Google apps to personalize its voice responses.

In the US, Google AI Plus users and above can also access their personal Daily Brief in Gemini Live. “Just say, “What’s my daily brief?” and Gemini will combine your most important updates from Gmail, and Calendar into one concise digest,” Google explained.

Google AI Pro users and above in the US can also use natural voice commands to ask Gemini to perform multi-step tasks. Gemini Live will use Google’s new Spark AI agent in the background, which will pursue its work even when the app is closed. Spark can create scheduled tasks, complex documents, and browse the web on its own to complete its various jobs. However, online payments and other sensitive actions will always require human validation.

Google emphasized that Gemini users won’t need to be too specific with their voice commands. “You shouldn’t have to guess whether a task requires Spark, a Daily Brief, or a quick inbox search. The real magic of Gemini Live is that you never need to figure out which tool to use — it connects the dots across your day in a single, unbroken conversation,” the company said.

In addition to these Gemini Live updates, Google also announced yesterday that Gemini 3.5 Transcribe, its latest speech-to-text model optimized for real-time transcription, is now available in the Gemini app on macOS in English, as well as Android phones like the Pixel 11 Series that support Gemini Intelligence features.
