Anthropic Introduces Claude for Small Business

Anthropic today announced Claude for Small Business, a set of connectors and workflows that integrate its AI with the tools that small businesses rely on. It’s not clear if this requires a paid Claude plan, but it’s not an extra-cost add-on.

“As part of our public benefit mission, we are committed to helping business owners harness AI more fully and effectively for their most important work,” the Anthropic announcement notes. “Claude for Small Business is a toggle install that puts Claude to work inside the tools small business owners already use: Intuit Quickbooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. From these tools, it can plan payroll, close the month, run a sales campaign, chase invoices, and more.”

To use Claude for Small Business, open Claude, navigate to the Cowork view, connect to the tools you use at work, and then pick between jobs like planning a payroll, closing a month, viewing your cash position, seeing sales trends, reviewing this week’s commitments, analyzing HubSpot campaign performance, drafting a promo strategy, generating Canva assets, and more.

Each tool you can connect to handles specific jobs. PayPal can handle settlements, invoicing, disputes, and refunds inside Claude, for example, while Canva generates content with team collaboration and editing, publishes assets, and tracks performance and Docusign sends contracts out for signature, tracks status, and files the executed copy back where it belongs. You can find a full list of skills, automations, and connectors on the Claude website.

Anthropic ha also partnered with PayPal on a free online course called AI Fluency for Small Business that’s available on-demand. And it’s hosting a free half-day AI fluency training and hands-on workshop in 10 U.S. cities starting on May 14. You can learn more in the original post.
