For the first time, Google has explicitly documented what individuals get with Gemini for free or if they pay for a subscription. Previously, Google only vaguely described these differences, a common issue with AI of all kinds. But now we know.
“You can upgrade to a Google AI plan for expanded access to features and models in Gemini Apps,” the Gemini Apps Help site explains. “Gemini Apps upgrades are part of select Google One paid plans for personal accounts.”
To be clear, this is for consumers using a personal Google account. There’s a similar page for those with business, enterprise, and education accounts.

Google notes that this list doesn’t list some features like Canvas, Gems, and others that are generally available to most users, and that it can cap the number of prompts and conversations you can have for various reasons and change the limits at any time.
Pretty useful. I’d love to see this type of documentation for all AIs.
