Gemini Enterprise is a new agentic AI platform for large businesses that’s separate from Google Workspace. There’s also a lower-cost Gemini Business offering for smaller businesses and teams that don’t require IT.
“Gemini Enterprise is designed on the premise that true business transformation in the era of AI must go beyond simple chatbots,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai writes in the announcement post. “You need a comprehensive and integrated platform that brings all your company’s data, tools, and people together in one secure place. That’s exactly what we’ve built. Gemini Enterprise is an AI-powered conversational platform designed to bring the full power of Google AI to every employee for every workflow.”
Google already offers Workspace customers access to several useful Gemini-based capabilities via the Gemini app, NotebookLM, and integrated functionality in Gmail, Docs, Meet, and other Google apps, though availability varies by tier. Google Enterprise and Google Business are separate, similar to the relationship between Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365. But it appears that companies using Microsoft 365 could use Gemini Enterprise (or Business) instead of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
These new added-cost subscriptions provide the following features:
Gemini Enterprise comes in several editions that include Gemini Business Edition, Gemini Enterprise Standard and Plus Editions, and Gemini Enterprise Starter Edition, which is an optional free-to-use experience made available after a 30—day Enterprise Business trial. Gemini Business is $21 per user per month, and Gemini Enterprise Standard/Plus starts at $30 per user per month.
You can learn more about Gemini Enterprise on the Google Cloud website. There’s also a separate documentation site.
