Google’s relentless release of new AI models continues with Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, its latest voice model.
“Today, we’re advancing Gemini’s real-time dialogue capabilities with Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, our highest-quality audio and voice model yet,” Google’s Valeria Wu and Yifan Ding write. “It delivers the speed and natural rhythm needed for the next generation of voice-first AI, offering a more intuitive experience for developers, enterprises and everyday users.”
Gemini 3.1 Flash Live offers improved tonal understanding to deliver more natural voice dialogue, and it’s better at recognizing acoustic nuance and dynamically adjusting responses when users seem frustrated or confused. In Gemini Live and Google Search, it’s being used to provide users with more helpful and natural responses, while being faster as well.
The new model is also multilingual, with support for over 200 languages, countries, and territories. This means that almost anyone in the world can interact with Google Search using their voice and get responses in their language in real time.
Gemini 3.1 Flash Live is available now across Google Search Live and Gemini Live for individuals, Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, and the Gemini Live API for developers in Google AI Studio.
