Google Expands Gemini Personalized Image Creation

Google announced that personalized image creation is now available at no cost to all Gemini users in the U.S. Previously, a Google AI Plus, Pro, or Ultra subscription was required.

“Personal Intelligence makes the Gemini app feel tailored to you,” Google group product manager David Sharon writes. “With your permission, it pulls from Google tools like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube and Search to provide the most relevant responses, like an assistant who knows you.”

With this change, all Gemini users in the U.S. who are 13 and older can generate personalized images, and all users 18 and older can edit them. Gemini uses Personal Intelligence with Nano Banana and Google Photos to connect with your tastes and lifestyle, allowing you to spend less time explaining what it is that you want.

Google recommends prompts like “design my dream house” and “create an illustration of me and my favorite things,” because Gemini will now pull images from your Google Photos collection instead of requiring you to upload images manually. And yes, you control whether that connection is made, as connecting Google apps to Gemini is opt-in.
