Amazon is expanding the Echo Show family with a new option today. The company just launched the new Echo Show 8, and you guessed it: it’s just the smaller Echo Show 5, now with an 8-inch display.
The Echo Show 8 combines features from the original Echo Show with a 10-inch display and the Echo Show 5 with a 5-inc display. The device has the audio from the original Echo Show, and the camera shutter and design from the Echo Show 5.

There honestly isn’t a lot to see here. The new Echo Show 8 offers the exact same features as the other Echo Show devices, but the main standout feature here is the price: at $129, the Echo Show 8 is looking pretty good compared to the competition.
By the way, Amazon is also bringing its FreeTime experience to the Echo Show, allowing kids to access kid-friendly videos and make video calls, with lots of fun stickers, etc. It also has a lot of parental controls, making it perfect for families.
