Apple Details WWDC 2026 Schedule

We already knew that Apple planned to kick off WWDC 2026 on June 8, but now we have a few more details about the schedule that week.

“WWDC26 will kick off June 8 with the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union, introducing incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools,” the announcement explains. “Throughout the week, developers and students can watch more than 100 new video sessions about tools, technologies, and design; take part in Group Labs; and join conversations on the Apple Developer Forums. Apple will also welcome more than 1,000 developers, designers, and students to celebrate in person at Apple Park on June 8.”

Some key events at WWDC 2026 include:

Keynote June 8 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. This is the primary marketing event for the show and will include “a first look at the latest updates coming to Apple platforms.” You can stream it on Apple’s website, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel, and it will be available after the event for on-demand playback.

Platforms State of the Union at 1 pm PT/4 pm ET. This is the “real” keynote for developers with a “deeper dive into exciting new features, APIs, and technologies that will further empower developers to create powerful experiences across Apple platforms.” This will be available in the same places as above, but also in the Apple Developer app on Apple’s platforms.

Video sessions and guides. WWDC 2026 will feature “new sessions on tools, technologies, and design,” and they are presented by Apple engineers and designers. All sessions will be available on the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, and YouTube channel.

Group labs. Developers can join these labs throughout the week with live online presentations and Q&A sessions hosted by Apple engineers and designers. Group labs will take place Tuesday through Friday and last up to 60 minutes, Apple says, and experts will be available on the Apple Developer Forums to answer questions.

Apple Design Awards. The winners from a pool of 36 finalists for this year’s awards will be announced in the coming weeks.

Swift Student Challenge. This year’s Challenge honored 350 winners, including 50 Distinguished Winners who were invited to Cupertino for a special three-day experience during WWDC.
