Google announced today that customers using its Workspace Individual offering will soon get more storage and new email personalization capabilities. It is also making the service available to more locales.
“Since launching Google Workspace Individual last year, we’ve seen customers from around the world grow their businesses, connect with their customers in more meaningful ways, collaborate with partners, get organized and look more professional,” Google’s John Shriver-Blake writes. “Business owners have told us the familiarity of our tools helps them get more done. And today, we’re offering even more features for Workspace Individual users.”
Those new features include:
More storage. Google is upping the included Google Drive storage from 15 GB to 1 TB. Existing users will be upgraded automatically.
Mail merge. This new feature lets you add mail merge tags (like @firstname and @lastname) to newsletters and announcement emails for a more personalized touch. Multi-send emails, an existing Workspace Individual feature, also include an unsubscribe link so recipients can opt-out of future messages, Google notes. (It also supports customizable email layouts.)
Google Workspace Individual is also expanding to more markets, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece, and Argentina. This is in addition to existing markets like the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Australia, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the U.K., and Switzerland.
Google Workspace Individual costs $9.99 per month but you can save 16 percent if you pay annually ($8.33 per month in a one-time $99.99 payment). You can learn more on the Google Workspace Individual website.
